More often than not, the first choice for many a homeowner. On the one hand, they are less expensive than sliding gates, on the other, more attractive. Double leaf, bi-parting swing gates, for example, give a very stylish appearance to a driveway. However, a single swing gate is the most cost-effective in terms of gate automation.

In order to install this type of gate to your driveway, there needs to be enough clearance for the gate to swing.  Whether they are swinging inwards towards the property, or outwards. The ground should also be on an even surface, as opposed to a slope. At the very least it should not come into contact with the bottom of the gate. In this situation, you may want to consider installing a sliding gate as an alternative, which will be better suited.
